Private Dining Room Open for the Holidays

 

SLOWS BAR BQ is happy to announce that we will have a private room available for larger parties this winter. The private room is perfect for holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, office get-togethers and more.

The private room is located in the old O’Connor Real Estate office directly next door to SLOWS. SLOWS TO GO and SLOWS will cater your private event in that space. SLOWS TO GO can provide any menu items your group desires. SLOWS BAR BQ can provide beer and wine from our award-winning selection.

The particulars:

  • The room must be booked in advance - no walk-up room reservations.
  • A Non-Refundable deposit of $100 will be required to hold the room during peak season.
  • Menus (both food and beverage) must be determined ahead of time.
  • Most reservations in the private room are for four hour events.

Private Dining Room FAQs

Q: Where is the private dining room? 
A. Our private dining room is between Slows Bar Bq and Sugar House in the old O'Connor Real Estate office.

Q: How many people do I need to have to reserve the room?
A: Slows Bar Bq can accommodate parties up to 25 people.  The private room is best for groups between 25 and 40 people.  50 people is the upper max for the room.

Q: What food can I order?
A: The same food you can have in the restaurant although it will be catered by Slows To Go.  

Q: I love the food, but what about beer and wine?
A: Slows Bar Bq can provide any libations available in the restaurant, subject to distributor availability.  Serv-safe certified bartenders and servers must dispense any catered alcohol.

Q: Sounds great for my office party.  How long can we have the room?
A: We anticipate booking the room in 4 hour blocks.

Q: How do I reserve a date?
A: Fill out the private room inquiry form in its entirety.  One of our staff will be in touch with you within 24-48 hours to discuss room availability and your party details.  A deposit will be required during peak season.

Q: Where do my guests and I park?
A: There is a secure community parking lot located behind the Mercury Bar. The lot charges $2/car to pay the guards and pay for maintenance and upkeep.

Q: Can I play my own music?
A: Bring your iPod and have fun.  Please note, some early model iPods are not compatible with our sound system.

Q: Can we go into the restaurant during our event?
A: The private room has a dedicated entrance and there is no (current) entrance into Slows.  You and your guests are welcome to go to Slows before or after your event, though please note any expenses will be billed separately.
